Speedy Summer Roundup
Catching you up before I potentially become a whole new person
What follows is a succinct recap of almost everything I’ve been up to between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. Enjoy!
I spent a very good week with friends in Roanoke, VA.

I visited family I haven’t seen since pre-covid in Martha’s Vineyard—and got a free, hauntingly-pristine Ouija Board from the Dumptique! No photos because I was too present.
I completed Yin Yoga Training at YO BK and got to hang with some of my NYC pals.

I went upstate to visit my friend who currently lives/works on a farm.

I packed all my storage unit stuff into a rental car and drove solo from NYC to LA in 9 days! Stops included: somewhere in Pennsylvania, Ann Arbor to see a friend, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque to see family, Santa Fe to see a friend, and Sedona to be awestruck by the sheer beauty of nature. My road trip hack is to text everyone you love and maybe haven’t talked to in a while and beg them to call and keep you company while you drive 8 hours every day. Worked like a charm!!

My girlhood dreams came true as I finally saw the Backstreet Boys in concert!!!! They’ve stiiiiiillll got it, baby.

I’ve begun focusing more time and energy into my Academy Healing Nutrition program. I did my first client consultation in August and now I’m working on a big ol’ research project. More on this later?
I spent Labor Day weekend in San Diego with my family, as is customary.

I quit caffeine (again) after Labor Day, but I’m certain you don’t care.
I started my consultant role at Fruitstitute, and all that is going well. If you live in LA and have fruit trees, get at me! Did I mention I quit naming/branding and shut down Title Case for good?
A week ago, I ran 5k out of nowhere and literally hobbled out of bed the next two mornings. I am hoping to finally build a running habit by joining local run clubs. Send tips or whatever!
I just got back from my friend’s beautiful wedding in Warwick, NY! <3

NEXT UP: 10-Day Vipassana Meditation Retreat near Joshua Tree, CA.
Starting Wednesday, I will be blessedly disconnected from my phone, responsibilities, and the outside world for 10 days—but it is definitely not a vacation. I’ll be meditating on and off for a net total of ~11 hours each day. I will be observing Noble Silence, and reading and writing are restricted “to emphasize the strictly practical nature of this meditation.” Here’s some more info. While most people I talk to claim they '“could never” do something like this, I’m quite curious and excited to see what the experience will be like. I’m sure it will be challenging, but I can only assume it will be even more rewarding. Hoping to change/fix/heal myself once and for all! See you on the other side…
Please comment if there’s anything in particular you’d like to hear more about!

Well you’ve certainly had an eventful summer. It sounds as though your really in a good place and I’m glad for you
